Following a three week long sexting scandal, Rep. Anthony Weiner (D-NY-9) has finally resigned.

At a defiant press conference, at which he was frequently heckled, Weiner announced he would be stepping down. But he has as of this writing, not yet submitted his resignation to the Speaker of the House, nor has such letter been read aloud on the House floor.

Scrambling has already begun for the special election to replace him.
