Less than forty five days into the 112th Congress and we have our first two vacancies.

In California's 36th district, long time Rep. Jane Harman (D) is resigning to head up a new think tank....

In New York's 26th district, Rep. Chris Lee (R) has resigned after getting caught sending topless images of himself to a girlfriend on a social networking site. The congressman is married.

Special elections will be called to fill both vacancies in accordance with the respective laws of those state.
